Under Our Wings conference:
“A Global Approach To Ending Juvenile Injustice.”



Under Our Wings, a newly formed grass roots coalition dedicated to ending the prosecution and adjudication of children as adults and to eradicating the juvenile death penalty, is hosting a conference entitled “A Global Approach To Ending Juvenile Injustice.”

The conference will take place at Barry University in Orlando, Florida on December 6-7, 2002. The program will cover:

  • Current status of the juvenile death penalty and state policies on transfer of youth to the adult criminal system
  • Psychological considerations of youth
  • Inconsistencies between treatment of juveniles in the criminal justice system and child protection laws
  • Current anti-death penalty and transfer opposition initiatives
