Tina Dixon has been employed as a Staff Attorney with the Center for Children’s Law and Policy since November of 2006. She obtained a B.A. Degree in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University, and pursued a Master’s in Social Work degree from the University of Washington for one year prior to deciding to enroll in a Juris Doctorate Program (J.D.). Upon her acceptance to the Seattle University School of Law in Seattle, WA, Tina was awarded the Dean’s Diversity Scholarship which allowed her to pursue her studies and passionately focus on Criminal and Civil Rights Law and scholastic activities to include the Frederick Douglas Moot Court Competition and the Seattle University’s Moot Court Board. Following her graduation from the Seattle University School of Law, in Seattle, WA, Tina was employed with the Pierce County Department of Assigned Counsel where she served as an indigent defender for both adults and juveniles before the Pierce County Superior and District Courts in Tacoma, WA. During her time spent before the Juvenile Court, Tina was assigned to represent status offenders which bolstered her desire to effectuate change in the areas of juvenile law and policy.

In her spare time, Tina has been actively engaged in leadership positions within her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated, as well as local human rights commissions, civil rights organizations, and law related groups.
