On September 23, 2008, Dana Shoenberg participated in a presentation at the JDAI Intersite Conference in Indianapolis, IN entitled, "Facility Self-Assessments: Reports from the Field."
On June 26-27, 2008, Dana Shoenberg conducted a training entitled, "How to Assess Conditions in a Juvenile Detention Facility" in Lawrence, MA for JDAI facility assessment teams.
On June 3-4, 2008, Dana Shoenberg conducted a training in Mobile, AL entitled, "How to Assess Conditions in a Juvenile Detention Facility" for JDAI facility assessment teams.
On March 20, 2008, Tina Dixon addressed the connection between DMC and School Disciplinary Disparity at the DMC/JDAI Conference in Pasco, WA.
On December 4, 2007, Dana Shoenberg and Mark Soler conducted a training in Shreveport, LA entitled, "How to Assess Conditions in a Juvenile Detention Facility" for JDAI facility assessment teams.
On November 1, 2007, Dana Shoenbeg participated in presentations at the Pennsylvania Juvenile Court Judges Commission conference entitled, "Berks County Detention Data Review" and "Disproportionate Minority Contacts with Juvenile Justice: Models for Change Efforts in Pennsylvania."
On October 10 and 11, 2007 Mark Soler and Dana Shoenberg conducted a workshop for the Missouri Office of State Courts Administrator, entitled, "JDAI Conditions of Confinement: Self-Assessment Training."
On September 27, 2007 Mark Soler participated in a presentation entitled, "Detention Facility Self-Assessments: A Catalyst for Change," at the JDAI Inter-site Conference in Dallas, Texas.
On September 26, 2007 Dana Shoenberg participated in a presentation entitled, "Disabilities and Detention: Questions, Answers and Resources," at the JDAI Inter-site Conference in Dallas, Texas.
On June 19, 2007 Mark Soler and Dana Shoenberg conducted a training for staff of the DC Department of Rehabilitation Services entitled, "An Introduction to Legal and Professional Standards in Juvenile Justice Conditions of Confinement."
On June 18, 2007 Mark Soler, Dana Shoenberg and Ruby Sherrod conducted a training entitled, "How to Assess Conditions in a Juvenile Detention Facility" at a JDAI site in Baltimore, Maryland.
On June 15, 2007, Mark Soler spoke on "Overview of DMC Reform in the States" at the National Juvenile Justice Network Fifth Annual Forum in Washington, DC.
On June 9, 2007, Mark Soler spoke on "Addressing Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Juvenile Justice Systems" at the Coalition for Juvenile Justice national conference in Washington, DC.
On May 22, 2007, Mark Soler led a panel discussion on "Detention Reform at the Line Staff Level" at the DC Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative Intrasite Conference in Washington, DC.
On May 21, 2007, Mark Soler and Dana Shoenberg conducted a training on "How to Assess Conditions in a Juvenile Detention Facility" at a JDAI site training in Washington, DC.
On May 17, 2007, Mark Soler and Dana Shoenberg conducted a training on "How to Assess Conditions in a Juvenile Detention Facility" at a JDAI inter-site training in Kansas City, MO.
On May 14, 2007, Mark Soler presented on "Assessing Conditions of Confinement in Juvenile Detention Facilities" at the Maryland JDAI Inter-site Conference in Baltimore, MD.
On April 26, 2007, Dana Shoenberg gave presentations at two workshops during the Pennsylvania CASSP conference on Cultivating Cross-System, Family-Driven, and Youth-Guided Partnerships: "Addressing Disproportionate Minority Contacts with the Juvenile Justice System: Data-Driven Approaches," and "The Pennsylvania/MacArthur Foundation Models for Change Partnership."
On April 25, 2007, Mark Soler and Dana Shoenberg conducted a training on "How to Assess Conditions in a Juvenile Detention Facility" at a Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI) site training in Indianapolis, IN.
On March 10, 2007, Mark Soler was featured on NPR's All Things Considered to discuss juvenile abuse allegations in the United States.
On January 10, 2007, Dana Shoenberg served on a panel conducting a full-day workshop for disability rights advocates. The workshop, entitled, "Monitoring in Juvenile Justice Facilities," was part of the Training and Advocacy Support Center (TASC) Annual Skills Building Conference held in San Diego. TASC is a division of the National Disability Rights Network.
