Kali Bracey received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Spellman College and J.D. from Yale Law School. After graduation, she clerked for the Honorable Stephen Reinhardt on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  From 1998 to 2002, she worked at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, representing clients in cases from misdemeanors to serious felonies and homicides.  In February, 2002, she joined Jenner & Block, where she is a partner and a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and Entertainment and New Media, Insurance Litigation and Counseling, and White Collar Criminal Defense and Counseling practices.  Her practice includes working on a wide variety of litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout the country representing clients in redistricting, copyright, telecommunications, insurance coverage, and product liability cases.  Ms. Bracey has been involved in many civic and bar-related activities.  She has served as a board member of Higher Aspirations Academy and as a mentor and fundraiser at the Thurgood Marshall Academy (TMA).  In addition, she regularly conducts training programs for new lawyers at the Public Defender Service.  In 2004, Ms. Bracey became one of the co-chairs of the Young Litigators Committee of the Litigation Section of the DC Bar. She is also a member of the National Association of Women Lawyers and serves on its Committee for the Evaluation of Supreme Court Nominees.
